“Economic Revival of Flood Sufferers, Sept - 2014


In continuation to its Relief & Rehabilitation Program to reach out and help the flood sufferers of September – 2014 and to enable them to restart their business units, a prestigious function was held by Sakhawat Centre, J&K at Iqbalabad Bemina on 12th August, 2015 (Wednesday) in which an amount of Rs 10.325 Lacs was distributed under the “Economic Revival programme” to 70 families of Rainawari area of Srinagar, Bijbehara and Anantnag Town of District Anantnag. The beneficiaries received assistance as interest free loan for revival of their business to be paid back in easy instalments after their business takes off. On this occasion, local management of Sakhawat Centre, J&K of both the districts were also present. Secretary Planning Br. Abdul Hamid Sofi gave introductory lecture and briefed about the objectives of this program. Dr Yousuf-ul-Omer administrator Sakhawat Centre, J&K in his address emphasized upon the beneficiaries to keep their morale high and work hard to come out of this difficult situation. He further explained to the beneficiaries the essence of recycling the funds for further development of society.
